CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Team Rocket's Venture Bomb flips a coin. On heads, you place two damage counters on an opposing Pokémon; on tails, you place two on your own Active Pokémon. The risk is not merely getting no result: an unfavorable flip directly inflicts counters on your side of the field.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

The opposing target on heads is not restricted to the Active Spot, while the tails target is specifically your own Active Pokémon. The text does not let you divert that downside to a Benched Pokémon.
