CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Totodile readily approaches anything that moves with its jaws. Small but vigorous, it bites without always appreciating what its strength means for others. Its enthusiasm may feel like play from its perspective, while the pressure it exerts is very real. This difference between intention and effect defines a companion whose energy easily overflows.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Leer may prevent the Defending Pokémon from attacking Totodile on the following turn if the coin lands heads. Protection ends, however, if either Pokémon moves to the Bench or evolves. That detail, printed on the Neo Genesis card, limits an effect that might otherwise seem absolute.

Description from the source

Combo-griffe
