CARDEX BACKGROUND
The Pokémon’s story
Joltik finds its energy on Pokémon much larger than itself. It clings to their bodies to absorb static electricity that it cannot produce alone, then stores it. Its small size accompanies a way of life based on this closeness. Behind the image of the tiny passenger lies a constant search for the resource that allows it to function.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.A detail worth noticing
Splashing Dodge deals 10 damage with this Joltik. If the coin lands heads, the Pokémon is protected during the opponent's following turn from both damage and attack effects. Protection therefore depends on one flip but covers more than damage points alone.
