CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Wailmer uses seawater with an obvious taste for play. It stores some inside its body, then expels it through the nostrils above its eyes to surprise humans. The same water accompanies it when it swims with its mouth open to eat. This large, round body thus alternates between feeding and splashing, with an ease that gives its water jets several uses.

A detail worth noticing

In sunny weather, Wailmer bounces on beaches to play and sprays water from its nose. Its card separates two other actions: Lullaby may make the Defending Pokémon Asleep on heads, while Water Gun deals 30 damage. The description preserves that beach scene behind the attacks.
