CARDEX BACKGROUND

The role of this Energy

This Double Rainbow Energy provides two Energy of any types to an Evolved Pokémon, excluding Pokémon-ex. Damage its holder deals to opposing Pokémon is reduced by 10 after Weakness and Resistance. If the holder is no longer Evolved, the Energy is discarded. The holder restriction therefore comes with an offensive drawback as well.

Background on this Special Energy’s effect; the printed text, edition and finish of each card remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

The reduction is calculated after Weakness and Resistance in this version. It should not use the calculation order of another printing that places the 10-damage reduction before those steps.

Printed card text — German

Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.

Printed card effect
