V-Schutz-Energie

CARDEX BACKGROUND

The role of this Energy

V Guard Energy provides one Colorless Energy and reduces damage to its holder from an opposing Pokémon V's attack by thirty. The text places this reduction after Weakness and Resistance, defining its role in the calculation. It also states that this effect cannot be applied more than once simultaneously to the same Pokémon. Its usefulness therefore depends on the opponent encountered: it protects against a defined Pokémon category rather than weakening every incoming attack.

A detail worth noticing

The stacking limit is explicit: several V Guard Energy cards on the same Pokémon do not multiply this thirty-damage reduction. The text targets only opposing Pokémon V attacks, after Weakness and Resistance; other attackers do not meet its condition.
