CARDEX BACKGROUND
The Pokémon’s story
Smeargle leaves signs behind that announce its passage and mark its territory. Fluid produced at the tip of its tail lets it paint on nearby surfaces. In cities where many live, walls become covered in marks. The landscape thus becomes a collection of messages, visible long after their authors have left.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.A detail worth noticing
Sketch does not freely copy an attack: the Defending Pokémon must have attacked on the previous turn, and this Smeargle must have been in play during that attack. If those conditions are met, it can reuse the attack without its Energy cost or other requirements for using it.
