CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Finneon trails two long pink fins behind it. After exposure to sunlight, their patterns glow in darkness. This light can attract prey, but its luminous silhouette also delights divers; some resorts feed it to keep it nearby. During the day, it often stays near the surface, then descends deeper at nightfall. One entry suggests that its pink markings may serve as camouflage, without presenting that explanation as certain.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Ultra Sun reports that seaside resorts feed Finneon so divers can admire its luminous markings. Pokémon Ultra Moon also assigns its fins a prey-luring role and describes its descent into deeper water at night.
