CARDEX BACKGROUND

The role of this Energy

Flash Energy can only be attached to a Lightning Pokémon and supplies Lightning Energy. Its holder has no Weakness; if attached to a Pokémon of another type, the card is discarded. Protection depends on continually meeting this restriction without reducing all incoming damage by a fixed amount.

Background on this Special Energy’s effect; the printed text, edition and finish of each card remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Having no Weakness does not mean immunity to every attack. It removes that characteristic from the Lightning holder, while ordinary damage and other attack effects are not canceled by this wording alone.
