CARDEX BACKGROUND
Emboar wears a beard of flames that it uses in battle. It ignites its fists with fire pouring from its chin, then strikes opponents at close range. The Pokédex emphasizes the speed and power of its techniques while describing it as deeply supportive of its companions. This strength therefore goes beyond an individual display: its fighting style combines its body's flames with a temperament directed toward others.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later. The flames around Emboar's fists come from its chin, according to Pokémon Black. Pokémon White emphasizes the speed of its close-range attacks. Its fiery fighter's appearance comes with a less visible trait: the Pokédex also describes its strong team spirit.
