CARDEX BACKGROUND
Tyrantrum lived about a hundred million years ago. Its gigantic jaws, capable of tearing strong metal plates according to the Pokédex, give it the bearing of an ancient-world king. Yet restoring its appearance today leaves a question open. One entry specifies that complete reconstruction is impossible and mentions a theory that its body was once covered in feathers. Its teeth's power is described confidently; its full appearance remains hypothetical.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Ultra Sun mentions a coat of feathers as a theory because complete reconstruction of Tyrantrum is impossible. Pokémon X compares its jaw strength with that needed to tear thick metal plates apart.
