The Pokémon’s story
Whismur's usual voice is barely audible. But a threat is enough to trigger a much stronger cry, whose noise frightens Whismur itself. The more it hears itself, the louder it cries, until exhaustion and sleep follow. Its timidity thus creates a sound loop: the Pokémon cannot always control the scale of the signal expressing its fear.

Whismur xy4-83 Confuses both Active Pokémon with its attack for one Colorless Energy. Akira Komayama illustrated this printing. The effect does not target only the opponent: the attacker accepts the Special Condition too, and the attack states no damage number.
