CARDEX BACKGROUND

About this Pokémon form

Galarian Zapdos seeks opponents that seem more powerful than itself. This combative bird returns to the Crown Tundra on a ten-year migration and turns every promising encounter into a challenge. Its legs let it chain kicks together and race down rocky slopes at spectacular speed. From afar, its passing can resemble lightning striking the ground, though its wings are poorly suited to flight.

Background on this form in the video games; this card’s attacks, edition and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Its move Thunderous Kick is Fighting-type in Pokémon Sword and Shield. A succession of extremely fast movements ends in a kick that also lowers the opponent's Defense: the lightning image accompanies its speed here.
