Énergie Multicolore

CARDEX BACKGROUND

The role of this Energy

Rainbow Energy can provide the required type from among all Energy types, but supplies only one unit at a time. This choice helps a Pokémon whose attack cost requires a symbol that is difficult to obtain. Flexibility comes at a cost when attaching it from the hand: older printings deal ten damage to the bearer, while later ones place a damage counter on it. The wording depends on the edition, so the page retains each card's printed text alongside this shared explanation.

A detail worth noticing

The earliest printings express Rainbow Energy's cost as ten damage without applying Weakness or Resistance. Reprints phrase it as one damage counter. All the included printings nevertheless limit its contribution to a single unit of Energy at a time.
