CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Stufful looks easy to cuddle with its soft fur and clumsy movements. Yet it dislikes being touched or picked up by a stranger. It then struggles with enough strength to split a tree trunk. The Pokédex adds that the scent produced by an organ at the rear of its body helps it communicate with its kind. Its endearing appearance thus hides boundaries that need respecting.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Shield describes Stufful's defensive movements as adorable while stating that they can split a tree. Pokémon Ultra Moon explains that it hates being picked up. The contrast between its plush-toy appearance and its power makes careless contact unwise.
