CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Lopunny detects the slightest danger and prefers hopping away to fighting. If a threat catches up, however, its legs can deliver very powerful kicks. At the end of the warm season, it renews its coat to face winter in thick, light fur. Shed hair has been used to make warm clothing. The Pokédex thus connects vigilance, defense and seasonal changes in its body.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Ultra Sun says Lopunny molts twice a year and its hair is used for scarves and hats. Pokémon Shield describes its coat thickening before the cold. This material sought by humans therefore comes from a natural protective cycle.
