The role of this Energy

Jet Energy provides one Colorless Energy to its attached Pokémon. Its special movement occurs when it comes from the hand onto a Benched Pokémon: that Pokémon then switches places with the Active Pokémon. The player can therefore prepare a new fighter and bring it immediately into the Active Spot with the same card. The condition distinguishes this Energy from an ordinary attachment: placed directly on the Active Pokémon, it does not trigger this switch from the Bench.

A detail worth noticing

Jet Energy's effect begins on the Bench, while its result appears in the Active Spot. The newly equipped Pokémon takes the active fighter's place. Two reprints retain exactly this hand-to-Bench trigger and provide one Colorless Energy.
