CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Pikachu's electricity is not only used to drive off opponents. When two Pikachu meet, they may touch tails and exchange electricity as a greeting. The gesture turns an impressive power into a sign of closeness. Behind the sparks and charged cheeks lies a way of getting acquainted that belongs to this small forest-dwelling Pokémon.

A detail worth noticing

Pikachu smp-SM81's first attack tries to Paralyze the opponent's Active Pokémon on heads without numerical damage. Its second directly deals 50 damage for Lightning plus two Colorless. Sanosuke Sakuma illustrated this card: the flip decides only the Special Condition, while the 50-damage hit belongs to another action.
