CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Gordie examines the top seven cards of your deck and lets you keep as many Energy cards as you wish. Retained resources are revealed before entering your hand. Other cards are shuffled back into the deck. This selection can therefore recover several Energy cards at once but remains limited to what appears among the seven viewed cards, without searching the entire reserve.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Gordie searches for Energy among the viewed cards without specifying that it must be basic. Pokémon and Trainers seen there cannot be kept through this effect. They return to the deck with other unselected cards.
