CARDEX BACKGROUND
Very old documents call Solgaleo the being that devours the sun. When its body shines like that celestial body, it illuminates the darkness. The Pokédex also credits it with opening an Ultra Wormhole, a passage through which energy and beings from other worlds can arrive. One entry offers a hypothesis about its connection to Cosmog and the appearance of its third eye. These accounts mix observations, archives and speculation around a traveler between worlds.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Ultra Sun warns that Solgaleo opening an Ultra Wormhole can let in foreign energy and life-forms. Pokémon Moon offers only a hypothesis about its evolution from Cosmog. The Pokédex thus distinguishes a described effect from an uncertain origin.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
