CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Ralts chooses whom to approach based on what it senses in others. Its horns allow it to perceive human emotions, and a positive disposition may encourage it to come closer. Its Trainer’s joy then becomes its own. A relationship with this small Pokémon develops through an exchange of moods, in which inner feelings matter as much as visible gestures.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Legends: Arceus describes Ralts’s preference for cheerful people, while noting that no distinction based on age or gender has been observed. The reported criterion is therefore the mood it perceives, with an observation the narrator still wishes to explore further.
