CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Mew exists on the boundary between observation and mystery. So few people have seen it that some experts still regard it as an uncertain apparition. Its ability to become invisible helps it remain elusive. Even when it approaches humans, it can escape their notice, leaving more questions than traces of its quiet, hard-to-confirm presence.

A detail worth noticing

Mew xy12-53's Ability protects it from attack effects, including damage, from opposing Evolution Pokémon. Its attack deals 30 damage and may Paralyze the Active Pokémon on heads. Ken Sugimori illustrated this card: the ongoing defense does not come from the flip linked to its attack.
