CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Trapinch prepares its hunt by shaping the sand. Its funnel-shaped pit becomes a trap where it waits patiently for prey to slide in. Stones encountered during digging do not stop it: its powerful jaws crush them. At nightfall, it buries itself to sleep, continuing a life in which shelter, rest and the search for food are built in the same environment.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Trapinch me02-051's Double Headbutt flips exactly two coins. Each heads adds 10 damage, making the possible totals 0, 10, or 20, with no third flip. Uta illustrated this printing. The printed '10×' does not guarantee that the attack will hit the target.
