Lucario V ASTRO

CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Lucario reads the auras surrounding living beings. These allow it to sense the movements and emotions of others, even from a great distance. Some entries describe it hunting with other Lucario using this shared perception. Its battle therefore begins well before the first blow: by reading auras, it perceives what its opponent feels and can anticipate its movements. This sensitivity can, however, expose it to emotions it would rather ignore.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Shield gives Lucario the ability to read human thoughts. The Pokédex adds that it only becomes attached to Trainers with pure hearts. This detail shifts attention from its strength to its choice of companions: its closeness to a human also depends on what it perceives within them.
