Ralts

CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Ralts chooses whom to approach based on what it senses in others. Its horns allow it to perceive human emotions, and a positive disposition may encourage it to come closer. Its Trainer’s joy then becomes its own. A relationship with this small Pokémon develops through an exchange of moods, in which inner feelings matter as much as visible gestures.

A detail worth noticing

Ralts swsh12-067 deals 10 damage for one Psychic Energy, then chooses an attack of the opponent's Active Pokémon. That Pokémon cannot use the chosen attack on its next turn. Nagomi Nijo illustrated this printing: its low offensive number comes with a targeted restriction rather than blocking every attack.
