CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Gapejaw Bog places two damage counters on a Basic Pokémon whenever a player puts it from their hand onto their Bench. The Stadium affects both players and is tied to that specific way of entering play. It does not describe an attack: the counters are placed as a consequence of playing the Pokémon from the hand.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Coming from the hand is part of the trigger. An effect that places a Pokémon directly from the deck does not match this condition, even if that Pokémon also ends up on a player's Bench.
