CARDEX BACKGROUND
The Pokémon’s story
Arbok raises the front of its body to display the threatening pattern on its hood. It inflates its chest, makes strange sounds and takes advantage of a prey's hesitation to coil around it. Its grip is powerful enough to deform metal, according to the Pokédex. The intimidating markings are not identical in every individual: several patterns have been recorded. Arbok thus combines a visual warning, an audible signal and very real constricting strength.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.A detail worth noticing
Pokémon Ultra Sun mentions a study recording over twenty designs on Arbok's hoods. Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu refers to six frightening marking patterns. These different counts remind us that the entries do not necessarily describe the same collection of patterns.
