CARDEX BACKGROUND
Beedrill patrols rapidly around its nest and vigorously defends its territory. When it feels threatened, other members of the swarm may join it. It does not rely on a single stinger: its forelegs and abdomen carry three poisonous needles. It strikes quickly, withdraws, then returns to attack. The Pokédex thus gives a concrete reason to avoid disturbing its colony: one nest can mobilise several defenders at once.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! locates Beedrill’s three stingers on its forelegs and abdomen. Pokémon Omega Ruby adds that disturbing a nest may provoke a mass attack. The danger comes as much from the number of Pokémon mobilised as from their stingers.
