CARDEX BACKGROUND
Introduced to Alola to address a garbage problem, Grimer gradually took on a distinctive form. About a hundred of these Pokémon work at the region's waste-treatment center, swallowing large quantities of garbage. Their bodies keep toxic substances inside: unlike Grimer from other regions, they give off no bad smell, even at close range.
Background on this form in the video games; this card’s attacks, edition and finish remain distinct. The crystals visible on Alolan Grimer nevertheless demand great caution. They are clumps of toxins. When a fragment breaks off, deadly poisons can escape: the lack of an unpleasant odor therefore does not mean its body is harmless.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
