CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Lechonk spends its days looking for something to eat. It has an exceptionally keen sense of smell, but the Pokédex notes that it uses it only to find food. It rejects almost anything that does not seem good enough. Its body also gives off a herb-like scent that Bug-type Pokémon dislike. Between constant searching and demanding tastes, its life revolves around food chosen with far more care than its appearance suggests.

A detail worth noticing

Despite its remarkable sense of smell, Lechonk uses it only to look for food, according to Pokémon Scarlet. Pokémon Violet adds that its body gives off an herbal scent that repels Bug-type Pokémon. Its nose and its fragrance therefore play very different roles.
