CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Lugia lives far from the coast in the ocean depths. The Pokédex attributes such strength to its wings that a single beat could damage small houses. Its retreat underwater therefore seems as much a precaution as an act of solitude. Seafaring stories sometimes call it the guardian of the seven seas, glimpsed amid a violent storm. Its power is felt mainly through the dangers it avoids by remaining apart.

A detail worth noticing

According to Pokémon Black, Lugia is said to sleep in a deep-sea trench, far below the surface. This hiding place fits the immense strength attributed to its wings. The Pokédex gives no exact location for the trench, leaving the story with the depth and mystery surrounding the Legendary bird.
