CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Poké Pad searches your deck for a Pokémon without a Rule Box. The chosen card is revealed and put into your hand, then the deck is shuffled. This search is not limited to Basic Pokémon: it depends on the absence of a specific card element. It thus prepares an eligible companion without immediately giving it a place on the field.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Poké Pad uses the Rule Box as its exclusion criterion. Its text specifically cites Pokémon ex and Pokémon V among cards possessing one. Evolution stage alone therefore does not determine whether a Pokémon can be searched for.

Printed card effect
