The role of this Energy

Triple Acceleration Energy can be attached only to an Evolution Pokémon. In that situation it provides three Colorless Energy, contributing strongly to an attack cost during the turn it arrives. Its presence is temporary: the text requires discarding it at the end of that turn. If attached to a Pokémon that does not meet the evolution requirement, it must also be discarded. Its use therefore depends on the Pokémon's correct stage and a chosen moment to attack.
