CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Braviary is a proud raptor that prefers standing up to a threat over fleeing. The Pokédex says several individuals united when humans endangered their habitat. Scars earned on the front strengthen its reputation, while a wound on the back is frowned upon in the flock. Its bravery has earned it a place on coats of arms, but its aggression also cost it a transport role in Galar.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Shield says Corviknight replaced Braviary as a transporter in Galar because of its aggression. Pokémon Sword notes that its valor makes it a heraldic motif. A quality admired in an emblem is therefore not always enough for work close to humans.
