CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Minun encourages its partners without waiting to be safe itself. It accepts danger and sends showers of sparks from its body to give them courage. The more trouble an ally is in, the more visible its discharges become. This response distinguishes its support from mere spectacle: it reacts to the danger its team faces. The Pokédex describes a companion whose electricity accompanies solidarity in the heart of battle.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Alpha Sapphire says Minun's body produces more sparks when its partner is in a bad position. Pokémon Omega Ruby adds that it may expose itself to danger to help its team. The intensity of its discharge therefore follows the battle's difficulty.

Abilities

Chain of Events

Poke-BODY

As long as Minun is your Active Pokémon, whenever your other Active Pokémon, if any, attacks, you may use Cheer On after the first attack (you still need the necessary Energy to use Cheer On). You can't use Cheer On more than once in this way even if your other Active Pokémon has the Chain of Events Poké-Body.

Attacks

Cheer On

Cost: Colorless

Remove 1 damage counter from each of your Pokémon (including Minun).

Special Circuit

Cost: Lightning · Colorless

Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. This attack does 20 damage to that Pokémon. If you choose Pokémon that has a Poké-Power or Poké-Body, this attack does 40 damage instead. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)
