CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Stonjourner can remain motionless in the middle of a plain, following the sun's course. This quiet posture conceals footwork that the Pokédex calls phenomenal. Every year on the same date, several Stonjourner appear and arrange themselves in a circle. The reason for this custom is not specified in the entries. Between its long observations of the sky and this regular gathering, its behavior follows rhythms that the Pokédex records without fully explaining.

A detail worth noticing

Stonjourner's yearly circle is described as a custom in Pokémon Shield: they gather on the same date after arriving from nowhere. Pokémon Sword describes a motionless individual watching the sun while also crediting it with remarkable footwork.
