CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Dark Patch attaches a basic Darkness Energy from your discard pile to one of your Benched Darkness Pokémon. The Item prepares a reserve companion by reusing an abandoned resource. The choice combines a condition on the Energy, another on the recipient's type, and a final one on its position. None of these criteria is replaced by the card's name alone.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Dark Patch does not allow directly powering your Active Pokémon. Its recipient must be Darkness type and on the Bench. The Energy must also be basic Darkness Energy from the discard pile rather than your hand.
