CARDEX BACKGROUND
The Pokémon’s story
In the laboratories described by the Pokédex, Mewtwo is born from years of experiments on Mew's genes. The result is far more than a simple copy: the entries describe an extremely violent temperament. Behind this artificial origin is a Pokémon shaped by the experiments that created it. Its story begins less in nature than in humanity's desire to recombine nature's secrets.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.A detail worth noticing
The Mewtwo in this printing makes its target Asleep with a 10-damage attack. The other starts at 40 and gains 10 for every Energy attached to the Defending Pokémon. The more Energy the opponent has attached to their Active Pokémon, the larger that second hit becomes; Mewtwo's Energy is not counted.
