CARDEX BACKGROUND
About the species
Mabosstiff is gentle with children and enjoys playing with them. When its family is threatened, its expression changes and becomes intimidating. It then has another resource: its large dewlap can store energy that it releases all at once to repel an opponent. The Pokédex thus combines an affectionate presence with a sudden, powerful defense. This change of attitude responds to a specific situation: protecting those it cares about.
This account describes the species in the video games. It does not describe its Trainer’s history or that of this copy, and does not identify the depicted form or sex.A detail worth noticing
Pokémon Scarlet locates an energy reserve in Mabosstiff's large dewlap and notes that it can release it all at once. Pokémon Violet describes its usual mood as gentle until the moment it protects its family.
