CARDEX BACKGROUND
At night, Meowth makes the streets its hunting ground for treasures. A dropped coin or a small shiny object is enough to catch its attention. It gathers these finds with a collector's enthusiasm, building a treasure trove of its own. When it is in a good mood, it may even show its stash to its Trainer: privileged access to what matters to it.
This account describes the species in the video games. It does not describe its Trainer’s history or that of this copy, and does not identify the depicted form or sex.Meowth's fondness for shiny things extends to its own face. Pokémon Shield explains that it washes regularly to keep the coin on its forehead spotless. Its little grooming ritual thus goes hand in hand with its passion for treasures.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
