CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

A Pyroar pride organizes itself around its young. Females protect them, while a male can lead the group when its fiery mane is the most imposing. It sometimes spends much of its time resting but defends its companions as soon as an enemy appears. Its scorching breath then serves to intimidate the opponent. Yet the Pokédex notes that it does not use it to cook prey, preferring raw meat.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Y assigns females the protection of the young and describes breath reaching 6,000°C. Pokémon Ultra Moon adds that Pyroar never uses this fire against prey. Its intimidating weapon remains separate from the way it feeds.
