CARDEX BACKGROUND
Magcargo carries a shell formed from its own cooled skin. It looks solid, but breaks easily on contact; the Pokémon can regain its shape by plunging into magma. Flames escape through the cracks while its body remains as hot as lava. In rain, the drops evaporate and thick steam may cover the surroundings. The Pokédex therefore describes a being whose shell is fragile despite the extreme heat it contains.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Alpha Sapphire attributes a temperature of around 10,000°C to Magcargo. In the same entry, rain turns to steam around it and creates fog. This is a property described in the Pokédex, not a measurement applicable to physical cards.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
La carapace qu'il porte sur le dos n'est qu'une excroissance de peau, refroidie et durcie. Elle se brise au moindre contact.Pouvoir Pokémon
