CARDEX BACKGROUND
The Pokémon’s story
Duskull wanders alone after nightfall. It can become invisible, pass through walls and pursue a target until sunrise. This behaviour has inspired a story told to disobedient children: the Pokémon will come and take them away if they do not listen to their parents. The Pokédex distinguishes this threat passed on by adults from its clearly described movement abilities. Its ghostly silhouette thus turns a nocturnal pursuit into a family tale of fear.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.A detail worth noticing
Pokémon Black explains that children’s cries amuse Duskull and that it enjoys frightening them by passing through walls. Pokémon Alpha Sapphire shows how this behaviour has been incorporated into warnings addressed to children: a local legend has grown around it.
