CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Vikavolt darts around opponents until it finds an opening. It generates electricity in its abdomen, concentrates it in its large mandibles and releases it as a beam. Its aerial manoeuvres serve to surprise the enemy before this discharge. The Pokédex also credits it with a reserve strategy: carrying a Charjabug in flight to provide an extra battery. This combination of agility and stored energy makes its attacks difficult to anticipate.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Shield describes Vikavolt carrying a Charjabug as a backup battery. With this reserve, it is said to be able to fire several powerful beams without landing. This cooperation gives its previous evolutionary stage a very concrete role in aerial battles.
