CARDEX BACKGROUND
Hydrapple houses seven snakelike creatures in a syrup-covered apple. The central one directs the others, but this group does not always act with a single will. Its members have changing moods, and their true power appears only when they agree, which rarely happens. The Pokédex therefore describes difficult cooperation rather than a solitary individual. The apple brings them together physically; their strength depends on the agreement they manage to reach.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Scarlet counts seven small serpents inside Hydrapple and places their leader at the center. Pokémon Violet explains why this organization is not always enough: their fickle personalities align only occasionally, the sole moment when their full power appears.
