CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Drilbur moves through soil with a technique resembling a living drill. It brings its claws together, spins its body rapidly and opens a passage. Earth that seems motionless on the surface thus conceals sustained activity. This underground ease also lets it move towards prey, turning its digging tool into a means of offensive approach.

A detail worth noticing

On Drilbur 108/191, its first attack discards the top card of the opponent's deck without allowing a choice of card. Mud-Slap separately deals 10 damage. Ounishi illustrated this card, where one attack affects the deck and the other the Active Pokémon; the first promises neither damage nor recovered Energy.
