CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Abra spends most of its day sleeping, but this rest does not leave it defenseless. Even asleep, it retains control of its psychic powers and can disappear when danger approaches. Its escape does not wait for waking. With Abra, sleep forms an active world in which vigilance and movement continue behind closed eyes.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Abra's dreams can change the psychic powers it uses while asleep. The Pokémon Sword Pokédex entry directly connects the content of its dreams with these abilities. Its sleep is therefore more than a simple pause: it also influences what this Pokémon can do.
