CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Uxie bears the title Being of Knowledge. A tradition recounts that its appearance supposedly gave humans the wisdom needed to improve their lives and solve problems. Another story grants its gaze the power to erase memory. The Pokédex reports these accounts as beliefs, without presenting them as verified experiments. Uxie thus remains linked to two sides of the mind: acquiring knowledge and fearing its loss.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon White recounts that Uxie's first flight supposedly taught humans to solve problems. Omega Ruby mentions another belief, according to which its gaze erases memory. Both entries discuss traditions associated with the Being of Knowledge.
