CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Delphox watches the flame dancing at the tip of its wand to concentrate. The Pokédex then credits it with predicting the future. Its psychic powers also serve in battle: they create fiery whirlwinds capable of enveloping enemies. The entries give these flames a temperature of three thousand degrees. The same wand thus evokes two sides of Delphox: silent concentration on what is to come and formidable firepower when it attacks.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Y puts the heat of the fiery whirlwinds created by Delphox's psychic powers at 3,000°C. Pokémon X describes a very different use of the flame at its wand's tip: by staring at it, Delphox can predict the future.
