CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Electrike’s running sustains the energy that lets it accelerate. Friction generates electricity, which is stored in its fur, while pulses stimulate the muscles in its legs. Movement and charge feed into each other. This small runner does more than carry an electrical reserve: its activity helps replenish it, giving its speed a very particular mechanism.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Electrike can be recognised by sound when it runs. Pokémon Ultra Sun describes a crackling noise during its run, linked to static electricity generated between its fur and the air. Its swift passage therefore leaves an audible signature too.
